If you’re a more advanced student of Levantine Arabic, or moving over from Standard Arabic, I’ve got dozens of longer form lessons on grammar, vocabulary, idioms and customary usage.

An important part of any language is learning pronunciation, and Levantine Arabic is no exception. We have sounds that your language might not have. Plus, our daily speech takes many of the sounds in Standard Arabic and changes (and usually simplifies) them. I go over all this in detail in my playlist on Pronunciation.

Idiomatic phrases are always fun and interesting. I’ve done a bunch of one-minute shorts on some of our most fun idioms, from ‘Smashing Watermelons’ to ‘There’s a Mouse in My Pocket’. Have a look, I think you’ll find them amusing, and you’ll impress your friends when you surprise them with one of these phrases!

If you’re an advanced intermediate speaker and are looking to improve your listening comprehension, I’ve created the ‘Bas Arabi’ (Only Arabic) playlist for you! In these lessons I take a topic and discuss it entirely in Arabic, but with both English and Arabic subtitles, so you can instantly check your comprehension.

Over the years I’ve been teaching, some of the most interesting people I’ve come into contact with have been my students. They may be students of Arabic, but they are often masters in other interesting fields!
